Session One: "Shame undone: the Woman at the Well"
In a quiet encounter beside a well, Jesus meets a woman burdened by rejection, regret, and shame. To her surprise, He offers her living water - an invitation to be known, loved and made new. This session will explore how Jesus confronts shame with compassion and how his grace can break cycles of self-condemnation. It will reflect on the mental and emotional weight that shame carries, and how faith, paired with honest self-awareness, can lead to deeper healing and mental well-being.

Presenter
Dr. Linda Caviness-Park is the retired Professor & Chair of the Dept. of Curriculum & Instruction in the School of Education at La Sierra University, where she taught & pursued her special interest in the field of Neuroscience & learning..
Session One: God's Fractal for Creation
Research in Neuroscience now shows that every level of the human system operates, using the coordinated functions of 3 related components, which could generally be described as mental, physical & spiritual. These elements can be observed in the major body organs, and on down to the cellular & molecular level. To have optimum mental & physical health, we need the proper contribution of each of these elements.
in the 11:00 o'clock presentation, Dr. Caviness will show the recent findings in this field, and how we can use them to increase our sense of well-being, and improve our relationships with God, with ourselves, and with those around us.
Session Two: Love, Trust and Heart-Brain Science
Exploring the new knowledge of heart-brain connections, the 2:00 pm session further explains the amazing function of love in supporting life and our relationships to God and to each other. This knowledge results from 15 years of mentorship under Earl E. Bakken, who developed the first wearable heart pacemaker, and who founded Medtronic, a more than $45 billion company that makes implantable medical technologies. These devices now save or better someone's life somewhere in the world every second of the day. Come and learn effective ways of thriving, in spite of life's daily challenges.
